Terms & Conditions


1. Introduction


1.1 These Terms and Condition apply to all Guests of The Kenmore Hotel.

1.2  The Kenmore Hotel is taken as meaning The Kenmore Hotel, Kenmore, PH15 2NU and herein after referred to as "the Hotel"

1.3  The Client is taken as meaning and patron of the Hotel or a member of the public using Hotel Facilities herein after referred to as "the Client".

1.4  The Guest is taken as meaning any person using the Hotel for the purpose of overnight accommodation and herein after refered to as "the Guest".


2. Bookings

2.1  Guests may book in advance. All rooms are sold subject to availability and The Kenmore Hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking.

2.2  The Kenmore Hotel reserves the right to take a deposit or full prepayment at the time of booking. Where this is not done, The Kenmore Hotel will require to take a pre-authorisation of a credit card on arrival.


3. Check In and Check out

3.1  Guests may check in from 3pm on the day of arrival. If a quest has not arrived by 7pm, and has not notified the Hotel that they will be late in arriving, The Kenmore Hotel will be entitled to re-let the room. This excludes rooms that have been fully pre paid which will be held for the full day.

3.2  On the day of departure, Guests must vacate their room and settle all accounts in full by no later than 11am. Failure to do so will result in The Kenmore Hotel charging for an additional night.


4. Charges

4.1  All charges will be at current Kenmore Hotel Rate which is on display at Reception and available on request. Charges for additional items such as restaurant meals or bar drinks are displayed at the relevant locations and are also available from Staff on request.


5. Payment

5.1  Guests must settle all outstanding accounts on departure unless a prior arrangement has been made to the contrary.

5.2  Payment may be made by Cash, Cheque (accompanied by a valid Cheque Guarantee Card) or by Credit or Debit Card.


6. Cancellation

6.1  Cancellation policy varies according to the Rate booked.
Please refer to full Rate descriptions for details.


7. Relocation

7.1  In the unlikely event that The Kenmore Hotel does not, for any reason, have the required number or type of room available as per the booking, The Kenmore Hotel reserves the right to relocate the client to an alternative Hotel of similar standard in a nearby locality.

7.2  The extra and reasonable accommodation expenses (for the first night only) shall be at the discretion of The Kenmore Hotel which will normally be exercised in favour of the Client, and be borne by The Kenmore Hotel.

7.3  The acceptance of this obligation (which does not release the Client from the obligation to pay The Kenmore Hotel the relevant charges) shall be in lieu of all other liabilities and obligations, which are hereby excluded.


8.Right of Refusal

8.1  The Kenmore Hotel reserves the right to refuse a Guest entry or accommodation if, on arrival, Management reasonably considers the Guest o be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, is unsuitably dressed or behaves in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unsuitable manner.


9. Disturbance

9.1  The Kenmore Hotel reserves the right to require a Guest to leave the premises if he or she is causing a disturbance, annoying other Guests or Hotel Staff or is behaving in an otherwise unacceptable manner.


10. Hotel Rules

10.1  Guests shall comply with all reasonable rules and procedures in effect in the Hotel including, but not limited to, Health and Safety and Security procedures and Statutory requirements as to registration.

10.2  Guests may not bring their own food or drink into the Hotel for consumption at the Hotel.

10.3  Dogs are permitted only in designated "Doggie" Rooms - excluding Guide Dogs

10.4  Children under 14 Years of age must be accompanied by a supervising adult Guest at all times.


11. Valuables

11.1  Guests with Valuable items should ask for them to be stored in the Hotel's central safe. The hotel will be liable for any loss or damage to items stored in the safe only.

11.2  Guests will be issued with a receipt for any item deposited in the safe and should retain it as it will be required in order to release the item from the safe.


12. Losses and Liabilities

12.1  Guests must report and loss or damage to their property immediately on discovery to the Hotel's Reception and shall make themselves available to assist with any reports made by the Hotel to the Police.

12.2  Guests must not enter areas of the Hotel marked "Staff Only" or closed to the public. The Kenmore Hotel shall not be responsible for death, personal injury, loss or damage suffered by a Guest in such areas.

12.3  The Kenmore Hotel shall not be liable for any loss or damage to Guest's property caused by the misconduct or negligence of a Guest, an Act of God or where the Guest remains in sole charge of the property concerned.

12.4  The Kenmore Hotel's liability for any other loss or damage to Guests' property is limited to £50.00 in respect of any 1 article or £100.00 in aggregate. This excludes items held in the Hotel safe or where stolen, lost or damaged through the omissions, neglect or wilful act of The Kenmore Hotel.

12.5  The Kenmore Hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing any of its obligations under the Agreement if that failure or delay is due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: war or threat of war, civil or political action or unrest, riot, natural disaster, fire, epidemic, weather, threatened or actual terrorist activity, military activity, governmental or regulatory action, industrial dispute, Act of God, failure of power or machinery, failure or interruption of externally provided services or utilities and all similar events.

12.6   Whilst all reasonable efforts have been taken by the Hotel to ensure that bookings made under this agreement are able to proceed the Hotel reserves the right to relocate any booking to another Hotel of similar standard in the nearby locality. The Client acknowledges that the Hotel accepts no liability for any loss or damage suffered by or caused to the Client in consequence of the relocation of the Client.

12.7  For the avoidance of any doubt, the Hotel does not exclude its liability for Death or Personal Injury caused as a direct result of the Hotel's negligence.

12.8  Guests should refer to the notice pertaining to Loss and Damage displayed at the Hotel Reception.

12.8.1  The Hotel is not liable for damage to a Guest's vehicle, unless this damage is due to the wilful misconduct of the Hotel's management or staff.

12.9  Guests will be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may cause at the Hotel.

12.10  These conditions shall be governed in accordance with Scots Law and in agreeing to them you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
