The boars head is
part of the family crest used by the Campbell clan. Our next door neighbour
Taymouth Castle formerly known as Balloch castle in the 15th century was for
many years the family seat of the Campbell's.
The bar, completed in May 2000, has a warm cozy
Highland atmosphere, with a large verandah running its full length onto a patio
overlooking the tranquil River Tay just where it leaves the mouth of Loch Tay.
Drummond Hill on the opposite side of the river with the majestic Ben Lawyers in
the background. It's a view to behold. Sitting in the bar looking out through
patio doors, or on the verandah, you can feel yourself drifting into the
romantic history of the Scottish Highland.
