Named as such because in 1789 the great man himself, the peoples poet "Rabbie
Burns", graced this bar with his presence. He was so taken with the beauty of
the area and its picturesque village that he sat on the bridge over the River
Tay which looks onto the Kenmore Hotel and composed a romantic poem.
He came into the the bar of our hotel and wrote
his poem in pencil on the breast of the chimney where it is to this day covered
by glass. The Poet's Bar is a traditional old Highlands bar with a roaring log
fire. Its' low comfy chairs and cozy atmosphere makes you feel comfortable the
minute you walk in. Our bar has variety of fine Scottish malt whisky's alongside
